Have you planned your stay in Kleena Kleene to explore our fabulous surroundings? There are many hikes and sights to see within an hour of Rivers Edge Guest Cottages. Rivers Edge is snuggled between Ts'ylo-s Park and Tweedsmuir Provincial Park, offering many beautiful photographic opportunities. Mt. Ts'yl-os is also known as Mt. Tatlow. 

Other beautiful areas that are a close drive / hike are Miner Lake and Perkins Peak. Good fishing in the area is from June 1 through mid September. There are many drive, hike or fly to lakes with names like; Shetler, Crazy Bear, No Name, Cruise, Hidden, Tom's, Eliguk, Moose, and Davidson.... Wow! look at this list!...Martin, Tatla, Sapeye, Horn, Bluff, Tatlyoko, Chilko!..... nearby One Eye Lake and Big Stick Lake are both good for fishing, boating, canoeing, and some of our guests have even reported good swimming!


There are many annual rodeos in the Cariboo-Chilcotin. Most notably, the Williams Lake Stampede (June). Other popular rodeos take place in Anahim Lake, Riske Creek (July) Nemiah Valley (August), and Bella Coola (June).


From Kleena Kleene, you may embark on many adventures such as:

  • Spectacular flightseeing tours with White Saddle Air.
  • Alpine horseback trips, guided hikes, packing or one of the annual featured trips with Rainbow Adventures.
  • or for an alpine eco-adventure for naturalists and hikers try Chris Czajkowski 's Nuk Tessli Adventures. Stay in rustic cabins or tents on fly-in, high altitude lakes near the southern tip of Tweedsmuir Provincial Park in British Columbia's Coast Mountains.

If your adventures take you to Bella Coola first by way of one of the Discovery Coast Circle Tours, or by B.C. Ferries, you'll want to be sure to stop at some local landmarks like:

But whether you are coming from, or going to Bella Coola, you may want to familiarize yourself with the "history of The Hill".  And on the way to Bella Coola is the trailhead for the historic 1793 route of Alexander Mackenzie.  The Alexander Mackenzie/Nuxalk-Carrier Grease Trail is one of B.C.'s longest hiking trails (at 450 km / 279 miles)
